Irrevocable Choice

Irrevocable Choice is a blog about life issues. Those in favor of legalized abortion often use the word "choice." Once completed, the "choice" to destroy a human life either via abortion, euthanasia, or embryonic stem cell research is IRREVOCABLE. It is PERMANENT. It can NEVER be undone. The innocent life can NEVER be restored.

Goodbye, Terri. May your memory live on forever.

Terri Schiavo has died today. She is with God. She is in a place where she can never be tortured. She is in a place where she will never feel upset or sad. She is in a place where she will never feel pain or fear.

At this point, we must pray for her family and supporters. They put up a valiant fight. They have been subjected to the kind of misery which no family should ever go through. Make no mistake: Terri's death was by court order and nothing else. Had God decided that her time to enter eternity was at hand, she would have died even WITH the feeding tube in place. It is not for human beings to cause or hasten death under any circumstances.

We must pray for those who caused Terri to die as well as those who agree with what was done. Like Terri, like all of us, they are children of God, created in God's Holy Image. We must pray for them to have a conversion of heart and to find the peace that only our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, can bring. We must pray that they will ALL convert and dedicate their lives to doing good (good according to God's Holy Laws, not what society calls "good"). Most of all, we must forgive them. Remember the Our Father prayer, given to us by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ: "...And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us" (emphasis mine). With those words, we are asking God to base our own salvation on the way we forgive others.

The devil has NOT won this battle. Terri is with God. We should NOT allow the devil to win under any circumstances. While we must fight the Culture of Death in every place that it rears its ugly head (abortion, euthanasia, assisted suicide, contraception, embryonic stem cell research, human cloning, etc.), we must do so while strictly abiding by God's Ten Commandments. Anything less delights the devil. We must also remind the devil of his future: being crushed under the heel of our Most Blessed Mother, the Immaculate and Ever Virgin Mary. The devil WILL ultimately lose the war. NEVER let the devil win any battles along the way.

While most of us have never met Terri in person or talked to her, we must never forget her. While a court ordered her demise, her memory must live on. We must work to convert hearts and minds to minimize this from happening to others. We must urge our elected representatives to work to change the laws that allowed this to happen. We must urge our elected representatives to impose checks and balances on the judiciary beyond the few that currently exist.

Through Terri's nearly twelve days of court-ordered dehydration and starvation, we have learned that this happens to disabled people all the time. We have learned about viewpoints. We have seen how some bioethicists feel about this issue. We have seen how people react to certain wording on polls. We have heard how some feel this is "compassionate." For some reason, we were not allowed to see photographs of the alleged "compassionate" process of starvation and dehydration in Terri's case. (The reason given was "privacy." But the very individual who talked about privacy also discussed Terri's medical details with the press.) In Terri's memory, we must work to urge greater respect for the value of human life, especially the most vulnerable. As Jesus said, "Whatsoever you do, to the least of my people, that you do unto Me." The most vulnerable in our society are clearly the least of our Lord's people. Denying them food and water is denying Almighty God food and water.

This situation has implications for everyone alive today or in the future. Forgiveness is mandatory. While the motivation should never be ill will, there are many allegations in this case. Terri was never able to personally articulate her wishes. The alligations will likely never be argued in court or before Congress (despite Congressional subpoenas). However, they should certainly be discussed in the blogosphere and hopefully in the major media. In some cases, media information about this case is available online. Laws should be researched. Ideas should be hashed out. Remember what the blogs did when some documents surfaced containing allegations about President Bush's military service. That previous statement only means to discuss the capabilities of blogs. It does NOT mean to imply that any of the allegations in Terri Schiavo's tragedy are true or even provable. They should simply be discussed and hashed out for years to come. We also need to figure out specific reasons for the Schindlers' loss in order to help anyone else facing a similar situation in the future.

Terri, please watch over all of us. You will be missed. May God bless all of us, but most especially the Schindler family and Terri's close friends.

Schindler Family Denied Access to Terri in What Are Possibly Her Last Hours

In what are possibly Terri's last hours on this earth, according to Brother Paul O'Donnell (appearing on Fox News earlier), her family is being denied access to her. There is a specific schedule and the family is asking for an exception now that Terri's life is possily nearing its end. But her "loving" and caring "husband" is denying them. Just as he has denied Terri DAILY Holy Communion as her RIGHT as a Catholic. (In my opinion, this is a violation of the First Amendment of the Constitution.)

Take a look at this video to see Terri laughing in response to her father's questions. Make your video window as large as possible. Ask yourself if you really believe she is truly comatose. And then ask yourself why she dying an OPTIONAL AND UNNECESSARY death by starvation and dehydration thanks to the courts.

PRAY to Blessed Theresa of Calcutta for Terri Schiavo

Please pray to Blessed Theresa of Calcutta (Mother Theresa 1910-1997) for her intercession with another Theresa - Terri Schiavo. One miracle has already been attributed to the intercession of Blessed Theresa of Calcutta. She miraculously cured a woman with cancer (who was not even Christian). I've been told that if one more miracle can be attributed to the intercession of Blessed Theresa of Calcutta, after proper investigation, she can be canonized. Pray for a total miracle and healing of Terri Schiavo so that she can live and does not even NEED a feeding tube to eat or drink. Please pray to Blessed Theresa of Calcutta for her intercession.

Let's also note that Terri is apparently being denied her religious right to daily Holy Communion. A Catholic in a state of grace may receive Communion daily. Terri's husband refuses to allow this. Every Communion is important. In my opinion, this is in violation of the First Amendment of the Constitution. If Michael Schiavo is going to prevent Terri from something such as Holy Communion, he must have a basis in REAL LAW (not what is IN MY OPINION law created by local probate judge Greer). We should all demand, via blogs, that Terri receive Holy Communion daily.

Video of Terri WITH Sound!

Blogs for Terri has a link to a video of Terri. This was likely taken years ago. But it's certainly a lot better than the videos played out in the media. Be sure to make the video window as large as possible and have your speakers on:

http://4lifeshaperite.com/rumbles/Conversations_with_Terri.html

(The above page goes to an HTML page with a link to the video.)

I'm curious about why Michael Schiavo and George Felos ban all photographs, video cameras, and tape recorders from the room? According to the Schindlers, they are searched before going to visit their daughter daughter, who is starving and dehydrated thanks to a court order. If the reason for the ban on these things is "privacy" then why does Felos discuss Terri's medical details at all in the media?

Let's also remember that Bobby Schindler is rightfully asking for DAILY Communion for Terri. As a Catholic, she has that right. The First Amendment states that government ("Congress" which means the entire government in my opinion) may not prohibit the free exercise of religion. If Michael is denying this request, he MUST be able to back it up in law. In my opinion, Michael's denial of Terri's right as a Catholic to receive Communion once daily is a VIOLATION OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT OF THE U.S. CONSTITUTION.

Bloggers, please talk about this. For Catholics, every single Communion received is extremely important for one's soul.

If it was truly Terri's wish to die via starvation and dehydration, she would have given up the will to live DAYS ago in my opinion.

Demand Daily Communion for Terri

Terri Schiavo is a Catholic. A Catholic may receive Holy Communion once per day. While Terri cannot receive a fleck of the Precious Body of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ becase her tongue is dry, she may still receive His Most Precious Blood. Allegedly, Michael Schiavo is refusing. This is a violation of her religious rights in my opinion. Terri should receive Holy Communion daily. If her husband truly "cares" for her as he claims, he should allow this. WHY has he not (if it's true that he has not)?

Bloggers, please blog about this. Remember, every Communion is important. Terri may have limited time. She should receive Communion daily.

Florida is NOT safe in my opinion

If we are to believe Jeb Bush, he has no power to save one of the state's citizens from a court-ordered sentence of dehydration and starvation. Governor Bush says he cannot get around a court order. Governor Bush has the ability to grant clemency to a convicted criminal, going around a court-ordered death penalty.

Jeb Bush says he has no power to intervene in a case where there is SERIOUS dispute about Terri's alleged "wishes." Let's examine the fundamental dispute: Terri's husband (who has a live-in girlfriend along with children by said live-in girlfriend) claims she said she expressed her wishes about these things. Some of MICHAEL Schiavo's relatives claim that Terri told THEM her "wishes." Felos claims Terri was specific enough to mention "No tubes for me." Mysteriously, Terri never told HER side of the family about these wishes.

If we are to believe Jeb Bush, in my opinion, this is basically saying he is a PUPPET of Greer and other judges.

In my opinion, the Judicial Branch is now SUPERIOR to the Executive Branch. The police are part of the Executive Branch. Yet, Greer (who is part of the Judicial Branch) can order the police to do his bidding. He has ordered that anyone trying to give water to a dying woman (dying for NO reason whatsoever, except a court order) is arrested. Because the police have chosen to do Greer's bidding, CHILDREN have been arrested.

Therefore, in my opinion, Florida is NOT safe. I personally will try to tell anyone I know who plans a vacation or plans to move to Florida that they should think twice. If they ever become disabled...

Question About Reversal of Denial of Holy Communion for Terri

On the evening of Holy Saturday, the Franciscan Brother speaking for the Schindlers begged Michael Schiavo to allow Terri one fleck of the Precious Body of Christ and one small drop of His Most Precious Blood. Originally, that request was denied. At some point on Easter Sunday, that denial was reversed. I think the question begs asking: why the reversal? It's certainly possible Michael Schiavo just had a change of heart. But in my OPINION, it's also possible Felos suddenly realized such a denial might create the opportunity for either President Bush or Governor Bush to intervene on denial of religious rights (First Amendment of U.S. Constitution). In any event, the question begs asking. If Michael had her rights in mind all along, I can't understand why there was a denial in the first place.

Also, note that the priest who administered the Sacrament said her tongue was dry (thus, she could only receive the Precious Blood) according to this article. Compare that statement to Felos' statement about her alleged condition on Holy Saturday (Felos claims she was "beautiful" and "peaceful").

Let's remember that the priest is independent of the Schindlers and the protestors. The priest works inside of hospice. And the priest said Terri's tongue is dry.

Jeb Bush Had An Opportunity Today, in my opinion

This is just my opinion. Last night, the Franciscan Brother spoke for the Schindler family and pleaded with Michael Schiavo to allow Terri one small piece of the Precious Body of Jesus Christ, and one small drop of His Precious Blood. LAST NIGHT, that request was denied.

Earlier tonight, it was revealed in a news article that Terri Schiavo was given one drop of the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ by a Catholic priest in the hospice. The priest could not provide her with a fleck of the Precious Body of Jesus Christ because her tongue was dry according to this article. (Remember, on Holy Saturday Felos said she was "peaceful" and "beautiful." Having a dry tongue is neither peaceful nor beautiful in my opinion.)

We do not know the motivations behind the reason why Michael Schiavo's original denial was reversed. It could be said he was being nice. We should praise God no matter what the reason. It is my OPINION (and just an opinion on my part, I have no knowledge) that Felos suddenly realized that denying Terri Schiavo Holy Communion on Easter Sunday would be a violation of her religious rights, causing the opportunity for either President Bush or Governor Bush to intervene. Thus, the reversal of the denial (again, only MY OPINION).

There were less than twenty-four hours between the original denial and the reversal of said denial. THAT was time for Governor Bush to act. Yes, I understand this was Easter Sunday. However, being governor is a 24/7 job. An innocent woman is dying via court order. Governor Bush failed to act immediately after the opportunity arose, in my opinion.

Priest Said Terri's Tongue is Dry

Terri Schiavo has been allowed to receive a drop of the Precious Blood of Christ on Easter. Praise be to God for this.

But, here is my response on the entry about this on Blogs for Terri:

Praise be to God for allowing this. However, I must also point out that it's possible (MY OPINION ONLY) that Felos advised Michael to allow this for one reason - to eliminate the charge of denying Terri's religious rights. THAT could have been a reason for either President Bush or Governor Bush to intervene. By allowing a drop of the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, they have eliminated that possibility.

I praise God for allowing this. Since in my opinion, the courts would probably have nullified any steps either President Bush or Governor Bush did in response to a denial of religious rights, it was wonderful that Terri was given that much. And of course, had the Schindlers taken this up with the courts themselves, they probably would have denied their request (in my opinion).

Furthermore, take a look at the article linked from the blog message. The priest who administered the Sacrament indicated that he could not provide her with a fleck of the Precious Body of Christ because her tongue was dry. Hmm, I recall that on Holy Saturday (yesterday) Felos came out to a press conference saying Terri was "peaceful" and "beautiful." If one's tongue is dried out, that is NOT beautiful and peaceful.

Let Terri's Memory Live On

On March 18th, LifeNews, The Empire Journal and WorldNetDaily ran stories about Terri trying to say she wanted to live. Although Greer and the Florida supreme court denied motions related to this, we should make sure her memory CONSTANTLY lives on in the blogosphere. She is alleged to have said she wants to live. We cannot do that for her, but we can make sure her memory lives.

Thanks to the courts and, IN MY OPINION, the failure of Jeb Bush to act to enforce the Florida State Constitution, Terri has passed the point of no return. In my opinion, Jeb Bush could have done something and announced that he reports to a Higher Power than those wearing black robes. Compare that to former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, Roy Moore. Roy Moore DID stand up for God. Yes, he was pushed out of office for standing up for God. But does his being ousted really matter in the end? Roy Moore stared down evil in the spiritual war and did a most heroic thing. He chose not to blink. I believe Jesus said something along the lines of "They will hate you for standing up for Me."

(Speaking of Roy Moore, it's funny that a Federal court ordered him to remove the Ten Commandments in what was OBVIOUSLY a states' rights issue. Yet those who argue in favor (my opinion) of starvation and dehydration for Terri claim "states' rights" as an excuse to allow the status quo. Sadly, they have won both battles.)

Blogs For Terri and the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation will be working together to fight euthanasia and the Culture of Death. Euthanasia has been festering for a time but satan has reared his ugly head and opened a large new front in his goal to consume souls. Evidently, satan has not had enough with destroying souls via abortion. While abortion continues, euthanasia is a whole new front in satan's spiritual war to consume souls. The pro-life movement will have to concentrate its efforts to continue to change hearts and minds on abortion but ALSO on euthanasia, a far more insidious situation.

Upon Terri's death her body is to be cremated and interred in Pennsylvania, in Michael Schiavo's family's plot. Once Terri's soul leaves this earth, she should not fade away from the blogosphere.

It is important NEVER to forget Terri. The issues and concerns about this case should continue to be talked about. The implications of this case for the disabled, the elderly, or the unwanted should be discussed continually. Some of the guests on Fox News indicate that this type of thing happens quite frequently. Death by starvation and dehydration should never happen. It is appalling that this is allowed in the United States of America. People need to be educated about what happens. There are plenty of web sites with graphic descriptions.

The Schindlers have exhausted all legal avenues. Governor Bush is obviously not going to provide help. The United States Congress has been buffaloed by a local judge. (I would think that Congress might TRY to hold on to their subpoena power. In my opinion, Greer, a local judge, basically said "boo" to the CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES and they went scampering away. Yes, there were a couple of hopeful statements from Senator Frist and Majority Leader DeLay, but nobody talks about that anymore.)

Despite the fact that the courts have ordered Terri's soul to leave this earth via starvation and dehydration at the request of George Felos and Michael Schiavo, let us make sure her memory continues to exist here on earth. No, there will likely be nothing new in the media once she has been interred in Michael Schiavo's family plot. But that does not stop us from continuing to talk about all of the events surrounding this travesty (my opinion) and discuss the relevant laws as well as the emotions and shock that starvation and dehydration is ALLOWED to happen in the United States of America.

Happy Easter, America. While many enjoy delicious food, an innocent woman is in her ninth day of court-ordered starvation and dehydration. The court order forbids anyone from bringing even a drop of water to this innocent woman (resulting in the arrest of children - in the United States of America). While some make their TWICE YEARLY attendance at mass (the other day being CHRISTMAS - no, not "the holidays" or "happy holidays" or "holiday time" or whatever the secularists call Christmas), a devout Catholic woman has been denied a tiny piece of Jesus Christ's Precious Body and a drop of Jesus Christ's Precious Blood. While some celebrate with family and friends, a family is coming to grips with the agonizing fact that due to a court order, they will soon lose a very valuable member of their family. And yes, Terri Schiavo is a very valuable member of their family. She is a very valuable member of the entire human family. All human beings are members of the Mystical Body of Christ, thus all are valuable. Jesus is the Vine.

Cop ALLEGEDLY Bragged About Blocking President

According to Spirit Daily, a cop allegedly bragged about stopping President Bush and Governor Bush from taking Terri into protective custody. I wonder if this is one of the officers who ARRESTED CHILDREN based on Greer's order to deny anyone from giving Terri Schiavo a drop of water?

Greer allegedly did some bragging about another matter according to this report.

So, while a woman lays dying inside from court ordered starvation and dehydration, a police officer allegedly brags about preventing the President and Governor from saving her. IF true, this is really disgusting.

This article talks about there being a potential standoff between state and local police had Jeb Bush intervened. (Greer allegedly issued an order to ALL sheriffs departments to prevent a state agency from doing its job. It's nice to know that all sheriffs departments, part of the Executive Branch, report to Greer, part of the Judicial Branch.) I don't see why the state police could not have arrested any local police interfering with the state doing its job.

Oh well, I know I will never set foot in Florida.

What a Sad Easter

In NO way should this be considered a comparison. Jesus Christ was without sin. He was conceived by the Power of The Holy Spirit born of the Immaculate and Blessed Ever Virgin Mary. He is the Word Made Flesh. Terri Schiavo is obviously not Jesus. Like all of us, she has the stain of original sin. And like all of us, I'm sure she has committed at least venial sin. However, there is a very sad irony. It is very possible that on Easter Sunday, the day our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ rose from the dead, Terri Schiavo will die. Christians traditionally would celebrate on this day. Our Lord and Savior conquered sin and death. By 2pm ET, Terri Schiavo will begin her ninth day of court-ordered starvation and dehydration.

While our Lord's conquering of sin and death and opening the gates of Heaven allowing the opportunity but NOT a guarantee for each of us to one day be in Heaven (if we follow the Ten Commandments and do not die in a state or mortal sin) is wonderful, this Easter will have a very dark cloud hanging over it. We cannot imagine the grief of the Schindler family. The rollercoaster ride of emotions will likely take a toll. The hopes they had when Congress subpoened Terri Schiavo (until a local judge defied Congress and Congress scampered away like a puppy afraid of its shadow in my opinion). The hopes they had when Congress passed legislation ordering a de novo review of Terri Schiavo's case at the Federal level. All of them dashed by what some call "the rule of law." In my opinion, that "rule of law" seems to forget about the First, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments of the United States Constitution.

And yes, Terri Schiavo is a very valuable member of their family. She is a very valuable member of the entire human family. All human beings are members of the Mystical Body of Christ, thus all are valuable. Jesus is the Vine.

Society is as "civilized" today as it was during the Roman Empire. We just have more technological advances.

Terri Denied Holy Communion

The family implored Michael Schiavo to allow Terri Holy Communion on this night after sundown, which is Easter in the Catholic Church. They wanted her to have one tiny piece of the Precious Body of Jesus Christ our Lord and one drop of the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Receiving this would be a comfort to Terri's soul. It would NOT stop the process of the court-ordered death sentence. There was NO reason to deny this. In my opinion, this is a VIOLATION of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. Since judges say that they are merely interpreting the laws as made by the legislatures, and since the U.S. Constitution supercedes all state Constitutions in matters of conflict, Congress simply cannot enact a law prohibiting the free exercise of religion. Therefore, since the courts are only able to go by the law, they cannot deny Holy Communion to Terri Schiavo.

Let the MEDIA Take a Video of Terri Today, 3/26

Felos had a press conference earlier today. Felos (MICHAEL SCHAIVO's attorney) claims Terri is "beautiful" and "peaceful." This contrasts greatly with the an article in LifeNews (warning: the LifeNews article has EXPLICIT descriptions).

We do not know what Terri really looks like as Michael Schaivo has forbidden any pictures or video to be taken in five years. I assume he has been backed by court orders on this (similar to the court order to deny administering food and water orally - resulting in CHILDREN being arrested by local police in Florida!).

Bobby Schindler pointed out a few minutes ago in a Schindler Family press conference that Michael has forbidden cameras. Why has Michael done this? IF Felos' claims are correct, then he should bring the media in to see Terri. IF Felos is correct, that would HELP Michael's case. If we are to believe Felos, why will he not allow the media in? I understand the hospice room is probably small. So, select a small number of media, representing the liberal and conservative wings.

Because Michael Schaivo refuses to allow the media into the hospice room, my OPINION is that it is difficult to swallow claims that Terri is "peaceful" or "beautiful" after EIGHT DAYS of being denied nutrition and hydration.

LifeNews: Terri Bleeding From Eyes and Tongue

Warning: The linked article has some (in my opinion) graphic details. If you can handle it, I'd suggest reading it. It alleges eyewitness accounts of the "peaceful" court-ordered dying process Terri is currently experiencing. Here is the article from LifeNews.

Normally, we hear about descriptions like these in solicitations for money for people in impoverished lands (Africa, for example). People in those areas do not have clean water or food. Some don't even have water PERIOD (dirty or otherwise). Here in the United States, we have plenty of clean water and it is physically possible for humans to bring it to Terri Schiavo. But here in the United States of America, we also have a judge who has ordered that water may not be brought to Terri Schiavo. Here in the United States of America, we have police (members of the Executive Branch) honoring that judge's (a member of the Judicial branch - who took a campaign contribution from the lawyer who argued for the starvation and dehydration to take place) order and ARRESTING anyone, including CHILDREN, who try to bring water to Terri Schiavo. One would expect to read about this kind of behavior in any regime controlled by a dictator in Central America, South America, Africa, or Asia. One would expect to read about this behavior when studying the history of NAZI Germany, Stalin's Soviet Union, various periods during the Roman Empire, etc. NOBODY SHOULD EXPECT TO READ ABOUT THIS IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IN THE YEAR 2005.

If this is true (and of course, we can't judge for ourselves because cameras are not allowed in the room - if it is true that this is so "peaceful" then cameras would only HELP that claim), this only once again speaks to this series of events as an ATROCITY.

The Culture of Death convinces people that the victims feel no pain. People buy into this for some reason. They've managed to convince many people that innocent babies do not feel a thing during an abortion. Now that they've managed to convince the general public of this, of course the general public will swallow the claim that Terri Schiavo and others like her feel nothing in this type of situation. This is despite the heroic attempts by Kate Adamson, a woman who personally experienced dehydration and starvation, to explain the pain she felt.

Greer Took Campaign Contribution From Felos

On the O'Reilly Factor last night, John Kasich (sitting in for O'Reilly) revealed that Greer took a campaign contribution from Felos (MICHAEL's attorney). This was during a segment with one of Greer's friends and defenders. Greer's friend basically said there was nothing wrong with that, blah blah blah. Apparently, Florida law does allow it (really scary). This article has more details.

"Conservative," "Religious" Judge Greer Causes CHILDREN to be Arrested

When John Kasich (sitting in for O'Reilly) interviewed Judge Greer (who, btw, took a campaign contribution from MICHAEL SCHIAVO's lawyer, George Felos), we heard about how Greer has "deep faith" and "is conservative." Really? As a result of Judge Greer, a member of the Judicial Branch (the only branch of government with any power these days, in my opinion), who uses a court order to make the police, members of the allegedly "separate but equal" Executive Branch, CHILDREN are being arrested for bring someone water. When people look through the history books, what are they possibly going to think of our society? Arresting CHILDREN for bring someone WATER? One would EXPECT to read about this in the history of NAZI GERMANY or the STALINIST USSR, not the United States in 2005.

Greer freind on O'Reilly Factor Tonight

A friend of Greer (the judge who has issued orders to the police via his ruling, thus THE JUDICIAL BRANCH GIVING ORDERS TO THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH to arrest anyone who tries to give food and water to Terri - in my opinion, this is the kind of ruling one expects in NAZI GERMANY, not the United States in 2005) will be on the O'Reilly Factor (Fox News). If you miss it at 8pm ET, it's available at 11pm ET and probably 4am ET.

Does Jeb Bush Have to Ask Greer for Permission to Enforce the STATE Constitution?

Prolife Blogs points out Article II of the Florida State Constitution. But, Jeb Bush would probably have to ask Greer for permission to enforce that part of the Constitution. In fact, I think Jeb Bush should run ALL of his decisions through Greer. Despite the fact that the majority of Floridians elected Jeb Bush as governor in 2002, it appears local judge AND FELLOW REPUBLICAN Greer has more power than the Governor of Florida. Perhaps Jeb Bush should start asking Judge Greer permission to sneeze or wipe his nose?

As Randall Terry just said on Hannity and Colmes, Jeb Bush swore an oath to preserve and defend the Florida Constitution. He does NOT need permission of a local judge to follow the oath he took before God Almighty!

Computers Could Replace Judges

Based on the excuses by the two Federal Courts who have refused to do anything to save Terri Schiavo - (in my opinion) a narrow definition of the law - we really don't need human beings to serve as judges anymore, in my opinion. Afterall, we can just treat it as a computer function:

Ruling = (Arguments and evidence by plaintiff + arguments and evidence by defense + relevant laws + previous relevant rulings)

Human beings are supposed be able to consider decision from a human factor, not JUST use the (my opinion) cold and unfeeling response a computer might give. In my opinion, they may as well have just used a computer to decide instead of human judges.

Greer Ruled AGAINST a Woman Who Wanted to Keep Her Husband Alive

I thought Greer cared about the rights of the spouse. And what about all the Congresspeople who argued in favor of the status quo - arguing in favor of doing nothing while Terri died a slow death of starvation and dehydration - they talked about the spouse being the one to decide. Congressman David Wu complained about Congress getting involved in decisions discussed in the bedroom. Well, what about this case reported by World Net Daily? Kudos to Straight Talk With Sherri for pointing this out.

Thank the Sexual Revolution

We can thank the "Sexual Revolution" for being in this situation now. The courts listen to HEARSAY by Michael Schiavo, a man who has had children by another woman while married to Terri (and let's make it clear that even if they were legally divorced, they would be married in the eyes of God literally until one is deceased, unless there was an annulment by the Catholic Church) about Terri Schiavo's alleged wishes.

Felos, Michael's attorney, calls this a "private matter" when questioned about it by Greta Van Susteren a few days ago. If Felos is willing to go on national television to press his client's side of the case, then he should be willing to talk about everything in my opinion. Indeed, in most circumstances, this would be a private matter. But NOT when one has had children by another woman while going to court to make the woman TO WHOM HE IS MARRIED die a death of starvation and dehydration. Of course, let's also remember that allegedly, on Larry King, Michael said he doesn't know what Terri wanted, according to BlogsforTerri.com.

We can thank the "Sexual Revolution" for this. Only now, in our sick, twisted, filthy Culture of Death society would a man's request to have his wife die a slow death of starvation and dehydration while that man has had children by ANOTHER woman be granted. Only in this society that devalues human life would a judge (who deserves IMPEACHMENT in my opinion) be able to rule that while a person is being dehydrated, another person cannot give that individual water orally. In my opinion, this is the height of cruelty. When Terri's family is searched before entering the hospice room to visit their dying daughter/sister, this is just pure evil in my opinion. Terri is NOT a convicted criminal, despite the fact that in my opinion, she is being treated like one.

Where are all the women's rights groups? This is a case where a MAN has had children by another woman while going to court to fight for his wife's slow death. He claims, but has NO WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION that these are her "wishes." WHERE are the women's rights groups?

Meanwhile, where is Congress? Why are they failing to enforce the subpoenas? Are all the remarks from Senator Frist and Congressman DeLay pure bluster? Yes, they quickly ushered out a new law and the President signed it, but it seems the judges aren't listening. Basically, this new law was totally worthless. We cannot blame the House for this. They did pass a much stronger and broader bill. But the Senate insisted on narrowing it down. Then the House was forced to debate a narrow bill exclusively for Terri.

Where is Jeb Bush? If he is truly upset about Terri, why is he failing to use his powers to save her? Why doesn't he at least grant clemency even if it's only symbolic?

Spiritual People Denied Access According to Guest on Cavuto's Show

I was just watching the rebroadcast of "Your World" with Neil Cavuto. He had the Schindler's spiritual advisor, a Franciscan Brother, on the television. According to the Schindler's spiritual advisor, NO spiritual people (ie - priests, nuns, religious brothers) are allowed into the hospice room. In my opinion, this is monstrous. This is EVIL in my opinion. IF this is true (and this Franciscan brother would be committing a mortal sin if he was lying on national television), I do not see how this can possibly benefit Michael. My opinion, but the only one who benefits from this (my opinion) evil act of denying all spiritual people access to Terri Schiavo is satan (my opinion).

Nurse on Hannity and Colmes on Fox News

There will be some nurses with some interesting allegations (and it must be stressed, these are allegations) about Michael will be on Hannity and Colmes on Fox News tonight. If you miss the 9 PM ET showing, you can catch it at 2 AM ET.

Michael Allegedly Can "Love More Than One Person"

On the Laura Ingraham show, she played a clip of Michael Schiavo on Larry King. Larry King asked Michael about his "new family." Michael said he "can love more than one person." This is ridiculous. Marriage is between ONE man and ONE woman. Period.

IN MY OPINION, his voice does not sound like one who is grieving over the forthcoming loss of his wife. Of course, when he presently has another woman with whom he has had children while married to Terri...

"Civil Rights" Attorney Argues For Letting Terri Die

"Civil Rights" attorney Michael Gross appeared on the O'Reilly factor today. He is arguing the talking talking points: states rights, process, blah blah blah. This is pathetic. Would this person argue the same way for criminals? Would this person argue the same way about terrorists. Terri Schiavo has NEVER given a decision in written format. He said that the "judge found" that this was her decision. Considering the allegations (and let's stress that they are ALLEGATIONS) in the IMPEACH GREER petition, I don't personally feel that is good enough.

What About the Subpoenas?

It was nice that Congress passed legislation for Terri. It was nice that the President signed it. But once Congress closed for the Easter break, did they just forget about the subpoenas for Terri and her husband (who has had children by another woman while married to Terri)? WHY ARE THEY NOT ENFORCED?? While Clinton-appointee Judge Whittemore refuses to end the horrible starvation and dehydration of an innocent woman, Congress should simply ENFORCE the subpoena. In that way, Terri can continue to receive nutrition and hydration until at least April 4th or 5th or whenever Congress decides to reassemble. WHY is it not being enforced?

Boycott Florida if Legislature Doesn't Help

Florida is a state that gets a lot of money from tourism. Perhaps if the Legislature refuses to help Terri (and yes, I recognize that the House has voted to pass the bill - but that does not help the fact that the Senate has not), there should be a boycott on the state. And certainly, anyone considering moving there for the nice weather ought to think twice when they realize how human rights are mishandled in that state.

Allegation of Insulin Injections in Terri on Fox News

On Fox and Friends this morning, there was discussion of an allegation that insulin was being injected in Terri Schiavo. The commentators talked about the fact that IF TRUE (and it must be emphasized that this is an ALLEGATION), this is a different situation. This allegation is from 2003 and Terri's family is aware but has not talked much about it, according to the show.

Supposedly, the White House is reviewing the denial of the appeal by a judge who was a Clinton appointee. Let's hope the AG gets involved. In my opinion, if ever it was necessary for the AG to be involved, this is the case.

Contact Florida Senators!

The Florida Legislature can still act to save Terri. The Florida House has passed a bill but it has failed in the Florida Senate. PLEASE contact the Florida Senators listed in this entry from Blogs for Terri. If phone lines are no longer accepting voice mail, send email. If you can call during the daytime when people may hopefully be answering the phones, PLEASE do so. IT IS MOST IMPORTANT to be polite and respectable in all contact. It is rude to do otherwise and furthermore, it will not help Terri's cause. If anything, rudeness will only HARM Terri's cause.

See additional information from LifeNews.

Felos Says It's a Private Matter, Talks About "Changing" Religious Doctrine

Felos, MICHAEL Schiavo's lawyer, was just on Greta Van Susteren on Fox News a few minutes ago. When Greta commented about the fact that Michael has a live-in girlfriend and children by that woman while MARRIED to Terri, Felos said this situation is a "private matter." If so, then why has Michael been on even one television show talking about it?

A little earlier, Fox News showed a clip from Felos. He said that Terri specifically referenced feeding tubes. He said she did not say "Oh, if religious doctrine changes fifteen years later..." The Catholic Church did not merely "change doctrine" suddenly. The Fifth Commandment, Thou Shalt Not Kill, has existed prior to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, taking human form by being conceived by the Power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Terri's Father Says Visitors are Searched, Watched When Visiting Terri

Terri Schiavo's father, Robert Schindler, discussed what happens when he or other family members go to visit their daughter who is being slowly and painfully starved to death (in violation of the 8th Amendment of the Constitution in my opinion) by court order. They must be searched and are watched. She is NOT a prisoner. This is what happens when one visits a PRISONER in a correctional facility. How humiliating. And what is even worse is that this is all optional. This is all due to a court case based on Michael Schiavo's goal to allow his wife to slowly starve to death and be dehyradted (of course let's note that he had children with another woman while married to Terri). Why can't they bring anything in to the hospice room such as a camera, tape recorder, etc.? Clearly, if Terri is truly in a "persistent vegetative state" such photographs and recordings will only BENEFIT Michael Schiavo's case. They cannot bring food or water to the room because Judge Greer ruled they cannot introduce food or liquid orally. Again, if Terri is truly in a "PVS" she would not be able to swallow. This would HELP Michael's case if she could not swallow. So, why does Greer not allow any food or water to be introduced orally? This is merciless in my opinion.

A "Constitutional Right to Refuse Medical Treatment"

A clip of MICHAEL Schiavo's attorney, George Felos, shows him talking about a "Constitutional right to refuse medical treatment" (Michael Schiavo claims these are Terri's wishes). I must be blind because I don't see anything about that in the U.S. Constitution. And while someone is looking for that right, perhaps they could find the right to abortion, which I'm told is also in the Constitution.

Comments About Excuses From Those Who Opposed a Bill to Save Terri's Life

Last night, Congresswoman Wasserman-Schultz complained on Fox News and CNN that the American people "lost" because of Congressional intervention. It is really sad that this Congresswoman feels Congressional action giving a woman who is suffering through a painful period of starvation and dehydration a POSSIBLE chance is a "loss" for the American people. (Of course, in her defense, I'm sure she simply fails to believe Terri has any ability to feel anything. Of course, some who are pro-abortion insist babies feel nothing when they are suctioned out, when their limbs are torn off, when they are burned in a saline abortion, etc.) Congresswoman Wasserman-Schultz said on the House floor that there is "factual evidence" that Terri would not want to be kept alive. Her idea of "factual evidence" consists only of alleged verbal statements to a few individuals, most particularly Terri's husband, Michael Schiavo (a man who has had children by another woman while married to Terri). Personally, my idea of "factual evidence" consists of nothing less than a WRITTEN statement. It really does not cause any problems for anyone to keep Terri alive. There are some who doubt she made the statements she is alleged to have made. I fail to see why keeping Terri alive is such a problem for certain people.

Those opposed to Congressional action giving Terri another chance of life complained about Constitutional issues. Last night, someone called in to CSPAN and pointed out that the FIRST AMENDMENT provides the ability of people to "petition the Government for a redress of grievances." See http://www.usconstitution.com/Read.htm for a copy of the U.S. Constitution. Those who oppose Congressional intervention on "Constitutional grounds" perhaps might want to brush up on the First Amendment?

It is also quite sad that some of the Congresspeople argued about processes while a woman is dying a slow and horrendously painful death based on HEARSAY by a man who has had children by another woman while married to Terri. Extraordinary situations like these require extraordinary peaceful actions such as intervention by Congress.

Those who opposed Congressional action giving Terri another chance of life, who in my opinion show that they have no problem seeing a woman suffering and dying based on HEARSAY argued that Congress should not get involved in family matters. First, the FAMILY disagrees. One side wants to keep Terri alive and avoid having her suffer a horrible, painful death. Another side, which includes a man who has had children by another woman while married to Terri, wants her to die slowly through starvation and dehydration. Looking at (warning, this is explicit content) this entry from Citizens United Resisting Euthanasia, this is what Terri may experience if her feeding the remains out for very long.

Furthermore, I wonder if those who argue about "family privacy" are this concerned when it comes to so-called "sex education" in schools? Clearly one would hope they might be consistent. Schools should not be introducing students to artificial contraception, which only makes it easier to commit sexual immorality.

Those opposed to Congressional action stopping this horrendously painful procedure because of HEARSAY say the courts in FL have the final say. They argue "states' rights." Yes, a court where a state judge IGNORED a Congressional subpoena. The FL Supreme Court tossed out a law the FL Legislature put forth to help Terri. A court where Judge Greer ruled that the parents cannot provide food orally to Terri once the feeding tube was mercilessly removed (if she did not swallow, this would only help MICHAEL'S case!). A court where the judge has not even personally visited Terri Schiavo.

As to "states' rights," these were used to justify SLAVERY in the past. Would those who talk about "states' rights" want to apply that to abortion? Afterall, if Federal legislation was signed into law giving states the rights to CHOICE in whether or not to allow abortion, some might make a CHOICE to ban abortion. Sadly, I have no hopes for consistency on their part. Yes, if such legislation was passed, I'm sure the courts would nullify it. But there is nothing wrong with taking a CONSISTENT position, regardless of what the courts will do.

Those who argued in favor of NO action by Congress, allowing the status quo, allowing a woman to suffer and die needlessly because of HEARSAY, complained that this was a bill designed for just one person rather than a broad bill. As Congressman Sensenbrenner eloquently stated, this bill for one person was due only to the fact that some Senators forced it to be that way. The original bill was INTENDED to be a broad-based bill which was not aimed at any specific individual.

Some of those who argued in favor of NO Congressional action to save this woman's life talked about costs. If they are truly concerned about costs, I would hope they might give up their annual raise. If they are truly concerned about costs, I would hope they might choose to vote against any pork barrel spending, even that which benefits their own districts. If they are truly concerned about costs, I would hope they might argue against government waste on contraception, abortion, etc.

Another excuse given was "we are not doctors" or "even if we are doctors, we haven't examined Terri personally." Well, DOCTOR David Weldon, a Congressman, tried to visit Terri Schiavo. He was not allowed to do this. I don't understand. If Terri is in a "persisten vegetative state," letting a Congressman visit her would have HELPED Michael Schiavo's case. It may have ENDED the case for her parents and siblings. But for some strange reason, Congressman and DOCTOR David Weldon was DENIED access according to his statements last night on the House floor.

In any event, here is the list of those who voted for, against, or did not vote at all. Let's note that while more Democrats voted AGAINST the bill than voted for it, the number who voted for it NEARLY equaled the number who voted against. But remember, five Republicans also voted against the bill. Blogs for Terri will be creating a Wall of Shame listing all of the names of those who voted against this bill.

Regardless of what happens with this case in Federal court, we should continue to ask Congress to ENFORCE the subpoenas. Congress NEEDS to consider broad legislation to help others in this situation. Terri and Michael Schiavo, along with Terri's family, Greer, and Felos need to come before Congress to be questioned in my opinion. They will provide valuable insight to the crafting of broad legislation. Furthermore, the subpoenas have already been issued. They need to be ENFORCED.

Continue to Push for Subpoenas to be Enforced

Thank God, the President has signed this bill!

Now, we must push for the subpoenas to be enforced! That should NOT go by the wayside. Terri Schiavo NEEDS to be brought before Congress in order to testify by her very presence. Someone should place food in her mouth and see if she swallows since Greer wouldn't allow this after the feeding tube was removed. We need to see her on CSPAN and see if she is truly in a "persistent vegetative state" as her husband (who has had children by another woman while married to Terri) claims. Michael needs to appear before Congress so he can be asked about his actions. By then, he will likely be coached not to make the kind of slip he allegedly made on CNN. George Felos and Greer need to also testify and explain their actions.

Continue to push for Congress to enforce these subpoenas! Senate Majority Leader Frist is threatening jail time for Greer. In my opinion, this should be pursued.

Praise be to God!

Thank You dear God for enlightening the hearts and minds of Congressional Representatives! Thank You very much for saving Terri Schiavo! Please enlighten the hearts and minds of the judges who will now be reviewing this case.
-------------

And I must say that it was nice to see almost half of the voting Democrats voting in favor of life.

Why Was Congressman Weldon Denied Access to Terri Schiavo?

First the media was denied access to Terri. Now Congressman Weldon (according to his statement a few minutes ago). Why? If Terri is truly in a "persistent vegetative state" as is claimed by her husband (who had children with another woman while married to her) and his lawyer, why were the media and Rep Weldon denied access? If either the media or Rep Weldon were given access, they would be able to see for their own eyes whether or not she is in a "PVS." Since Michael has said she is in a "PVS," granting them access would only HELP Michael Schiavo's case in such circumstances...

Democrats, why not look towards Tom Harkin?

Why can't the Democrats in the House who are arguing for Michael Schiavo's (who suddenly "remembered" some alleged wish from his wife Terri (I'm not sure whether Michael had had children by another woman yet at that point...)) ability to continue making his wife die a slow and painful death look towards Senator Tom Harkin? Tom Harkin is a Democrat who said in a conference last night that he never thought about these issues before. Tom Harkin is for helping Terri. Where are some of the Democratic House members?

States Rights Used to Support Slavery

Some of those Representatives in the House of Congress who are for allowing Michael Schiavo to order the removal of a feeding tube based on HEARSAY argue STATES RIGHTS. The two DEMOCRATIC Presidents prior to Abraham Lincoln were "personally opposed" to slavery but felt there were legal issues. They basically did this on a states rights platform. Democrats Franklin Pierce and James Buchanan were "personally opposed" to slavery but did not want to impose their views. They did not feel the Federal government could end slavery. They allowed an ATROCITY to continue because of this view. REPUBLICAN Abraham Lincoln followed President Buchanan. President Lincoln is one of our greatest Presidents. In my opinion, I do not see much difference between the politicians today who oppose saving the life of Terri Schiavo and the failed (my opinion) Democratic Presidencies of Franklin Pierce and James Buchanan in the 1850s.

Rep Jim Davis Says "Michael May Lose His Wife"

Um, let's see. WHO is arguing specifically for that... none other than Michael Schiavo himself! HE has ordered her doctors to remove the feeding tube.

On the flip side, kudos to Rep Trent Franks for his calm, quiet and excellent speech.

Reps Frank and Wasserman-Schultz Say They Don't Know Terri

I agree with Reps Frank and Wasserman-Schultz that the Congress does not know Terri. Exactly. All the MORE reason for her to be brought before Congress to testify by her very presence. Before Congress just steps aside and allows her to die a horrible, painful death, Congress needs to see Terri for themselves. Excellent points IN FAVOR of keeping Terri alive (though they weren't arguing that way).

Michael Doesn't Know???

According to Blogs for Terri, Michael Schiavo allegedly doesn't know his wife's wishes? But wait! Hasn't George Felos talked all about "Terri's rights"? Hasn't Congresswoman Wasserman-Schultz said it was "factually proven" that this was what Terri wanted? Isn't the whole case based on the CLAIM that Terri told Michael her wishes? This is quite a paradox!

Would We Execute Convicted Criminals This Way?

Let me make it clear that as a pro-lifer, I oppose the death penalty as much as I oppose abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, artificial contraception, and ALL forms of sexual immorality. However, if the court imposed death sentence for Terri is such a "peaceful" way to die, why does society prevent its use for criminals who are executed? Could it be that if such a method was used, criminal rights groups would rightfully be up in arms about it? (Sadly, I notice they are strangely SILENT about Terri Schiavo's execution. Evidently, convicted criminals have more rights than Terri Schiavo.) But really, for those who have no problem with Terri being killed in this manner, explain why it is not used for convicted criminals.

Visitors Allowed in Again

According to Terri Schiavo's brother who recently appeared on Fox News, visitors are now allowed back in to see Terri. But I still have to question the interruption. Why was Michael allowed to deny any visitors at any time? How is this in Terri's "best interest"? How does this demonstrate any care or concern for Terri? Is it not enough that Greer has allowed her to die via starvation and dehydration, which in my opinion, VIOLATES THE 8TH AMENDMENT? This interruption, however brief, should never have been allowed. There should be appropriate sanction against Michael for doing this in my opinion. Even if Terri does not survive long enough to be brought before Congress (since she is now in day #3 of a slow, painful court ordered death sentence in my opinion), I sincerely hope Congress asks Michael about this.

Terri's Wishes Allegedly "Factually proven"?

According to a clip on Fox News, Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz claims it "has been factually proven" that Terri said the very same thing. Really? How? Because her husband and HIS family CLAIM this was said? Congresswoman, this is NOT the definition of "factually proven." This is HEARSAY.

And let's remember that this HEARSAY was given by a husband who has had children by another woman. A husband who recently denied all visitors to his wife while she is dying a slow and painful death.

If this becomes a precedent, ANYONE can "remember" some alleged "wishes." They may stand to gain an inheritence. They may stand to gain something else. In a court of law, EVIDENCE is supposed to be required. Not just HEARSAY.

There are Republicans who are in favor of legalized abortion (Arnold Schwarzenigger, Condoleeza Rice, Rudy Giuliani, Arlen Spector, etc.) and there are Democrats who are pro-life. However, the Democratic Party has been referred to by some as the "abortion party" or "anti-life," etc. Those Democrats who are trying to stop this bill to save Terri Schiavo only HELP to cement this view in people's minds.

Schiavo Denies All Visitors!

Michael Schiavo, the husband of Terri Schiavo (while having children by another woman) has now denied ALL visitors. According to Blogs For Terri, visitors were allowed by court order. Suddenly they're not. But I thought the side favoring the dehydration and starvation death of Terri Schiavo were all for respecting court decisions...

The idea of kicking out all visitors is simply evil. Her own flesh and blood is denied the ability to see her. Is this another of Terri's alleged "wishes" that were suddenly remembered? Is it in Terri's "best interest" to deny her family the ability to see her while she's dying a slow and painful death?

Details of What Terri May Face

Some who have no problem with court ordered death by starvation and dehydration (a violation of the 8th Amendment of the Constitution in my opinion) claim it is "peaceful." Look at a recent blog entry from Citizens United Resisting Euthanasia about what could happen. Warning: these are very detailed and upsetting descriptions. But still, if you want to know what Terri may face, you may want to read them.

Call Congress With Support For Terri

I do believe Congress could have done more. I think they could do more now. I wish they had not waited for the last minute. I wish they had not wasted time with steroids and baseball players at this point. The legislation is weak in my opinion and still leaves open the possibility for a Federal judge to rule that Terri can die via forced starvation and dehydration. It would have been best if they had come up with legislation saying that people who can breathe on their own but merely require a feeding tube cannot be forced to die and give a life sentence to anyone who attempts to force them to die.

Still, I thought the notion of a Congressional subpoena was brilliant. Congress needs to be encouraged to see this through.

With that being said, according to HyScience, George Felos is urging people to call Congress and ask their Senators and Representatives not to help Terri. In a clip I saw on Fox News, Felos specifically named Senators Clinton, Harkin, Leahy, and I believe at least one other Democrat, complaining about their votes. For the most part, I do not agree with much of what those three Senators say or do. Still, the fact that they voted for anything to help Terri is good. It is important to contact Senators and Congresspeople who voted for this and thank them, and ask them to continue to do MUCH more. But specifically, it's important to counteract those who may be calling and complaining about Congress getting involved. We need Congress to get involved in this and other life issues. Congress needs to continue to be involved in Terri Schiavo's case.

Even IF the feeding tube is reinserted and this case goes before Federal courts (big IF there), that could be nothing more than a delay. The Federal courts could just as easily rule in favor of killing Terri Schiavo via forced starvation and dehydration, (violating the 8th Amendment of the Constitution, in my opinion). Congressional subpoenas should stand and there should still be hearings. The subpoenas should be ENFORCED and that alone should require the feeding tube to be reinserted. Terri needs to be brought before Congress where people can see her on camera. Even if Terri cannot speak in full sentences, her mere presence and reaction to stimuli can serve as testimony.

So please, thank those who did vote for anything that could help Terri Schiavo and encourage them to do MUCH more. Encourage the hearings regardless of the status of the legislation allowing this case in Federal courts. Encourage them to stand behind the subpoenas and enforce them.

Senator Frist is threatening jail for anyone who interferes with a Congressional witness. Contact his office with support to see that through! Contact Congressman Tom DeLay and support his plan (according to the same article) to hold Greer in contempt of Congress.

So-called "Persistent Vegetative State"

Different River has an interesting link talking about misdiagnosis of the "Persistent Vegetative State" condition.

I get so tired of the media saying this. Why won't the media INSIST on the ability to bring the cameras into Terri's hospice room? If her husband (who has had children by another woman while married to Terri) says she is in this state, why won't the media check it out for themselves? Since he has refused to allow this, he should be questioned. If he is allegedly concerned about her "embarassment," why did he discuss her condition in public at all? Afterall, if she truly is in a PVS, what easier way to prove it and let the world see it by letting ALL media (and that includes media such as Fox News) videotape Terri?

Hopefully, Terri will have the feeding tube returned soon. And hopefully, Congress will eventually have Terri brought to them so we can all see Terri for ourselves on C-SPAN.

Who CAN Congress Subpoena?

Last night on Fox News' On the Record with Greta Van Susteren, Attorney George Felos - the man who has passionately represented Michael Schiavo (a man who, while still married to Terri, had children by ANOTHER WOMAN!) in his attempt to have his wife die a slow and painful death based on HEARSAY while claiming this an issue of "Terri's rights" - complained about the idea of Congress being able to subpoena ordinary Americans. So, what precisely makes someone an ordinary American by George Felos' definition? Does it depend on their income? Does it depend on their profession? Does it depend on their health? Does it depend on their age? Does it depend on their class? Does it depend on who they know? What, precisely? Congress has subpoened baseball players (in fact, they wasted time talking to baseall players when they should have been dealing with Terri Schiavo's case - the steroid issue, while important, is NOWHERE near as immediate). Congress has subpoened corporate executives. Congress has the right and SHOULD EXERCISE AND RETAIN THE RIGHT, AS CIRCUMSTANCES REQUIRE, to subpoena ANYONE. If Congress is prevented from being allowed to subpoena "ordinary Americans," ANYONE can claim to be "ordinary" and thus not have to appear for a Congressional summons. At that point, Congress will no longer be allowed to subpoena anyone. This is stripping away a power from Congress that they must retain. And if local judges, such as Greer, have the power to nullify a Congressional subpoena, as has been demonstrated by Greer (the man who made a ruling equal to a harsh death sentence to Terri Schiavo after she committed NO crime), then again, the Congressional subpoena is devalued. I urge Congress to retain their power and exercise it in this case. It is really quite sad that a local judge can defy the United States Congress.

Greer Quits His Church Because They Criticized His Rulings

According to this article, Greer, the judge who imposed a harsh death sentence on Terri Schiavo, which in my opinion, violates the 8th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution (forbidding cruel and unusual punishment), quit his church because he didn't like the contents of an official publication of the Florida Baptist Church which criticized his rulings. But wait, this article calls him a "church regular." If Greer is so "religious," why not take the time to understand why his rulings were being criticized? Why not have some dialogue with the author of the criticism? Why not be open to the fact that some may have serious problems with his death sentence for Terri Schiavo? Does Greer know it all? In my opinion, his decision to quit his church because a church publication spoke up for God's laws says a lot.

In my opinion, Greer reduces the act of worshipping God to a comparison with subscribing to a newspaper according to the first article linked above. If this is how he feels about attending church services, NO WONDER he has issued a harsh death penalty for Terri, in my opinion. In my opinion, no wonder he gives harsh death sentence based on HEARSAY from her husband - a man who has had two children by another woman while MARRIED to Terri. (And let's make it clear - even if Michael Schiavo divorced Terri, it would be morally wrong to be married to anyone else.) My opinion, of course, but if Greer can compare attending church service to a newspaper subscription, how can anyone possibly expect he has any respect for life?

Let's also remember that one woman has died based on a ruling by Greer accoring this article. That death was not intentional. AFTER those events, Greer has now made a ruling with the INTENT of Terri Schiavo's death. In my opinion, Judge Greer needs to be IMPEACHED.

And by the way, take a look at this information. For some reason, a hacker decided it was necessary to attempt to remove it. Hmm, what exactly did they want to cover up?

Judge's Ruling Resulted in Death for Another Woman

Just as a reminder, one of Judge Greer's previous rulings resulted in the death of a woman, according to this article. THAT was unintentional on the part of Greer. In this case, Greer INTENDS for Terri Schiavo to die. Greer has sentenced Terri to death in a cruel and unusual manner. The 8th Amendment forbids this. We give convicted criminals more rights than Terri Schiavo has been given. But that does not seem to matter for Greer whose rulings demonstrate a determination for Terri Schiavo to die via starvation and dehydration, which is cruel and unusual. The 8th Amendment forbids CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT.

The New King George

On July 4, 1776, the United States declared independence from a King George who ruled from across an ocean. 229 years later, while we have a President named George, it seems almost like we have another man who could be likened to a King George. Judge George Greer of Florida, specifically. His ruling is LAW. Whatever he wants. NOBODY can trump Greer's rulings. Greer has taken HEARSAY from a man who has had children by another woman all while being married to Terri. Greer defies a subpoena from Congress in his pursuit to see his cruel and unusual death sentence implemented for Terri Schiavo. It seems as though even the 8th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution doesn't matter. Greer's death sentence IS cruel and unsual punishment.

We now have only ONE effective branch of government: the judiciary. The executive and legislative branches are allowed to make mundane laws (ie - making sure judges get paid by the taxpayers, for example) but beyond that, they are nothing more than mere window dressing. All power and control is in the hands of the judiciary these days.

If Terri dies from Greer's cruel and unusual death sentence, she will be the second woman who died as a result of his rulings. Read about the first in this article.

While you're at it, look at this information.

I would say that Greer should be impeached but an impeachment would probably just be overruled with a statement about separation about powers. Indeed, there is a separation of powers. The executive and legislative branches of government have been SEPARATED from their Constitutionally granted powers.

We must pray for a miracle now to save Terri Schiavo.

Praise be to God!

According to this article, a House Committee will issue subpeonas preventing the imposition of Judge Greer's death sentence for Terri Schiavo. If a Federal judge will grant a stay, this means that Judge Greer's death sentence cannot begin on 3/18!

Of course, there is a statement from MICHAEL SCHIAVO'S attorney, George Felos, claiming Terri's "wishes" are not being honored, that this is "unConstitutional," blah blah blah. Since Terri *NEVER* provided ANY WRITTEN DIRECTIVES, this amounts to nothing more than HEARSAY. Hearsay from Terri's husband who has had children by another woman while married to Terri! It's pathetic that this death sentence is presented as Terri's "right" or her "wishes."

I hope that this Congressional investigation reveals many, MANY things. It would be nice if some Committee members from both parties could go to visit Terri and see if she is truly in a "persistent vegitative state" as has been alleged. The media is banned from showing Terri Schiavo in her hospice room because of fears of "embarassment."

Judge Greer refused to see Terri Schiavo himself yet felt it was okay to sentence her to death. According to this article, another woman died as a result of one of Judge Greer's rulings. He had no idea this would happen. One would expect that such a tragedy would lead someone to be cautious. Knowing what he now knows, he had no problem outright sentencing Terri Schiavo to death. Had Congress not intervened, Terri Schiavo would become the second woman to die as a result of a ruling by Judge Greer.

And in the meantime, let's remember to check out the Empire Journal which was hacked because someone evidently didn't like the information they were posting about the Terri Schiavo case.

Once again, praise be to God!

Info about Terri Schiavo Case Removed by Hackers

The Empire Journal has some information about the Terri Schiavo case that some hackers did not want the public to see:

http://www.theempirejournal.com/we_are_not_going_to_be_forced_ou.htm

Let me again state that a full investigation should be done into the legality of all of Judge Greer's rulings. If even ONE is found to be illegal, he needs to be IMPEACHED.

Another Example of Why Court Control of America is WRONG

This article is yet another example of why allowing the courts to control America (which is the current state of affairs in this country) is simply wrong. The quote by Chief Judge Chris Altenbernd says it all. In my opinion, this quote does not demonstrate a grasp of the full ramifications of this decision: A WOMAN'S LIFE IS ABOUT TO BE ENDED IN A BRUTAL MANNER!

No, this is not a question about whether someone has to spend some years in prison. No, this is not a question about whether someone has to pay financial damages in a lawsuit. This is a question about ending someone's life - someone who has committed NO crime whatsoever. CONVICTED CRIMINALS HAVE MORE RIGHTS THAN TERRI SCHIAVO.

I do not recognize a "right to die." Euthanasia and assisted suicide are morally wrong. Period. However, this is not even a right to die case. Rather, this is a right-to-kill-by-hearsay case. There was NO written directive by Terri saying anything about this or similar situations. But because her husband, who has had children by another woman all while being married to Terri Schiavo, *CLAIMS* she said something, Judge Greer has imposed what amounts to a death sentence for Terri Schiavo. The 2nd District Court of Appeal has upheld what amounts to a death sentence for an innocent person. The quote by the Chief Justice dismisses the Schindlers' arguments in cold clinical terms.

Of course, why should anyone be surprised by this? We are living in a Culture of Death. Society no longer respects life. The United States is now under the control of courts. On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court allowed the brutal and barbaric death of any baby who is deemed "inconvenient." Hearsay is now allowing Terri Schiavo to die in a brutal manner. This case will open the floodgates to end the lives of many who are deemed inconvenient. If someone stands to gain an inheritance they might suddenly "remember" that a relative "told" them something.

The Culture of Death already has an enormous foothold at the beginning of life. Thanks to the rulings in this case (some question the legality of these rulings and I fully support the thorough and total investigation of such rulings, including IMPEACHMENT of Judge Greer if even one sentence of the law was violated by any of his rulings), the Culture of Death will have a foothold at ALL stages of life.

Judge Greer Article

Thanks to Pro-Life Blogs I found a link to an interesting article about Judge Greer. Judge Greer is the judge who recently ruled that after Terri Schiavo's court-imposed starvation and dehydration procedure (her death sentence) begins, her family is **DENIED** the ability to MERCIFULLY administer food orally.

The article, in my opinion, paints Judge Greer's critics as hysterical and illogical.

According to the article, Judge Greer laments the fact that he cannot defend himself to his critics due to judicial rules barring same. Well, it's also convenient that he is barred from defending his rulings. How could one defend the indefensible?

The article claims he is a conservative Republican. Looking at the RNC Party Platform, particularly the section marked 'Promoting a Culture of Life,' I hardly think Judge Greer, who has ruled that a women may be killed because of a CLAIM, LACKING IN ANY WRITTEN PROOF, possibly qualifies as a "conservative Republican." One also needs to particularly look at the final paragraph in that statement about euthanasia and assisted suicide.

The article mentions that he is a "church regular." So what? There are a lot of Catholics who go to church on Sunday and are pro-abortion. Some are oblivious to #2270-5 (especially #2272) in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Some are oblivious to the very existence of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Others are well aware and openly choose to ignore God's Law. (Oh they couch it in "I'm personally opposed to abortion but just don't want to impose my views on others." Well, that attitude imposes one's view on the innocent child who is violently slaughtered. That view allows for the possibility of an innocent child to die in an abortuary. It is pro-abortion. But back to Terri, a grown-up whose life is being aborted thanks to Judge Greer's court rulings... ) While on the subject of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the sections covering euthanasia should be noted: #2276-9. They directly follow the sections on abortion.

In regards to forgiveness and being judgmental (mentioned in the article), let's make it clear: God will forgive anything short of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit if one is TRULY sorry for what they have done and have a firm purpose of amendment. For Catholics, there is also the requirement of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, also known as Confession. For other religions, one should consult respective religious authorities. But, those who truly follow Jesus Christ are called to HATE THE SIN but LOVE THE SINNER. We must criticize actions that are sinful, particularly when human life is at risk. Verbal attacks, namecalling, anything illegal, etc., against Judge Greer are WRONG. Criticism (in strong terms) and questioning (also in strong terms) of his horrendous rulings related to Terri Schiavo are perfectly correct. Some question the legality of the rulings. I fully support a THOROUGH INVESTIGATION into the legality of EVERY ruling. And, *IF* Judge Greer has broken the law with any of his rulings, then calls for his impeachment are perfectly correct in my opinion. Such an action is no different than calling for a fine for someone caught speeding. Judge Greer holds the life of Terri Schiavo in his hands. He has ruled that she may be starved and dehydrated because of an ALLEGED STATEMENT that Terri's husband (a man who has since had two children by another woman WHILE STILL MARRIED TO TERRI) CLAIMS she made. Again, there is no written proof. No directive by Terri. Just a claim by a man who is married to Terri but has had children by another woman while still married. This claim is enough for a ruling to allow Terri to be starved and dehydrated.

Talk about forgiveness and being judgmental is NOT a pass to just do whatever you want (regardless of whether or not it follows God's Laws) and not have your actions be subject to criticism by others. Afterall, if we applied this view of forgiveness to everyone equally, nobody would be allowed to judge murderers, rapists, thieves, vandals, etc. We would have complete anarchy. And clearly, there would be many unemployed judges.

Our morally relativistic society rationalizes every evil. Before Jesus Christ died on the Cross, no matter how repentant the sinner, NOBODY had the ability to enter Heaven upon their death. Jesus went through a horrible, brutal, violent time of humiliation, torture, and finally Crucifixion, for the OPPORTUNITY for each of us to enter Heaven. It was NOT a guarantee. It was NOT a case where everyone is saved de to Jesus' horrible suffering. See John, Chapter 14, verses 15 and 21; Chapter 15, verse 22. See Luke, Chapter 17, verses 3-4. Most importantly, see Luke Chapter 13, verses 23-27.

I pray for Judge Greer. I pray that the Holy Spirit will enlighten him before it is too late for Terri and before he has any similar case in his court. I pray that this will happen through the intercession of our Blessed Mother, the Most Holy Ever Virgin Mary Imacculate, Mother of God, and her Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Criminal Rights Groups, WHERE ARE YOU??

When someone has committed violent crimes (murder, rape, etc.) there always seem to be groups of people, occasionally including celebrities, who are there to make sure the criminal gets every right he/she is entitled to, and then some! Where are these groups now that an INNOCENT person is being given the death penalty for NO reason?
As far as I'm concerned, since these groups could not show any compassion or concern for an innocent person, I will have to now suspect all of their arguments in favor of convicted criminals.

In THIS particular death penalty case, even if the law DID allow the governor to grant clemency (as a governor can for convicted CRIMINALS), it would be a useless gesture. A court would simply strike down the governor's clemency with some sort of excuse about "violating the separation of powers" or some such.

Most death row inmates languish on death row for more than fifteen years. Terri Schiavo has languished on death row (for NO crime whatsoever) for only fifteen years. Without Divine Intervention, at this point, the death sentence will be imposed for Terri Schiavo on March 18th.

Actually, in my opinion, in the course of DOING THEIR JOB and EXERCISING THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL POWERS, if the legislative or executive branch does something a judge does not like, it suddenly becomes a "violation of the separation of powers." Indeed, there IS a separation of powers. In my opinion, the courts have SEPARATED the legislative and executive branches from most of their Constitutional powers.

In Florida, the Judicial Branch Assumes the Role of the Legislative and Executive Branches

The taxpayers of Florida are really getting cheated in my opinion. In my opinion they're paying taxes for an entire legislature and executive branch that is totally powerless. I always thought that the branches of government were CO-EQUAL. Not in Florida! My opinion is based on this article and the entire frightening story of innocent Terri Schiavo, who has received a death sentence in a cruel and unusual manner. Most people agree that cruel and unusual punishment is reprehensible for criminals. So, why are so many unconcerned when it is about to happen to an INNOCENT person?

I THOUGHT the majority of people elected Governor Jeb Bush to a second term in a democratic process. In my opinion, that election was meaningless as Governor Jeb Bush no longer has any abilities to exercise the Constitutional powers granted to the Executive Branch - if a court does not approve. If this article is correct, I do not see how it is acceptable for laws to allegedly not be followed as are the charges in this article.

Despite the laws being so frequently struck down in courts, it is important to contact your Congressperson and Senators and ask them to vote FOR the Incapacitated Person's Legal Protection Act of 2005. Ask them to co-sponsor the bill. Contact the Office of the Speaker of the House and ask that the bill be fast-tracked. Contact the Senate Majority Leader's Office and ask that the bill be fast-tracked. Read about the House version, H.R. 1151. Read about the Senate version.

I find it very upsetting that absolutely NO court will accept an appeal of one of Judge Greer's decisions. Convicted criminals are granted appeal hearings. Why not an innocent person facing a cruel and unusual death sentence?

What is most troubling is that Judge Greer has denied the Schindler family the ability to administer food and water orally after her husband orders feeding tube removed, beginning the cruel and unusual death sentence. If Terri is really "unresponsive" or "in a coma" as has been claimed, then she should not be able to swallow any food administered orally. One would think that such an action would be welcomed by anyone in favor of removing Terri's feeding tube. Afterall, it would easily prove that the Schindlers are "wrong." So, why not let the experiment happen? What is anyone afraid of? What? Perhaps Terri might swallow the food administered orally and thus bring into question all these claims that she's "in an unresponsive coma"?

So, why does the Florida Legislature continue to propose bills and pass them with the hopes the Governor of Florida will sign them? Why bother going through what is now primarily a symbolic gesture? Since the courts decide anything important, since a single judge or a small panel of judges can wipe out legislation worked on by tens of DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED legislators whenever they see fit, why bother?

Personally, I have decided to sign the Petition to Impeach Judge Greer. I had heard about this petition for several days prior to signing it. When Judge Greer made his ruling regarding the Florida Department of Children and Families, I finally decided to sign it. I make NO claims about the accuracy of everything in the letter. However, in my opinion, based on the rulings I have read about via the media, I feel he should be impeached. It is up to each person to decide about this themselves. But the petition should be examined at least.

Murder Presented as a "Right"

Some who advocate the forced starvation and dehydration of Terri Schiavo present this as "her right." How is it a "right" to go through a horribly SLOW and painful process?

Only God has the right to decide when each person dies. There is NO "right to die." There is no "right to die" specified in the Constitution (just as there is no right to an abortion, despite claims by those favoring legalized abortion). Artificial feeding when one can move and react to stimuli (and if these are really "involuntary," why not allow the media into her room to PROVE it for the world?) is NOT an extraordinary means of keeping someone alive. Under that "logic," a baby (one who has actually been born) has to be kept alive by "extraordinary means" since the baby is incapable of locating food, deciding what to eat, etc.

Furthermore, how do we know this is "her" wish? The ONLY 'evidence' of this ALLEGED wish is HEARSAY by her husband. Her husband, who is living with another woman and has had children by this other woman. There is NO written directive by Terri claiming she wants to go through a horribly slow and painful death. Why should an IRREVOCABLE action be carried out merely because someone CLAIMS something was said? WHERE is the evidence?

It's amazing how things like this can be presented. Claiming this is a "her right" and that people are "against her rights" puts a negative spin on anyone who does NOT want to see Terri suffer an excruciatingly SLOW and painful death. It implies that those who are FOR Terri's life (and the lives of many others who do not make the headlines whose lives may easily be ended due to the horrible precedents set in this case) are against her "rights."

I actually have to say this is worse than the language used by those favoring legalized abortion. They at least do not make it seem like they care for the rights of the baby. They do not claim that the baby "would want to die."

Since some who are in favor of legalized abortion do this under the broad umbrella of "women's rights" (except for the rights of the YOUNG WOMEN babies who are aborted daily), their silence over the REAL rights of this woman is rather odd. Where are they? They frequently talk about "women's health." Well, what about Terri's health? Obviously, it is NOT healthy to force her to starve to death in a slow and excruciating manner. Why do they seem to avoid speaking up for medical testing and rehabilitation for this woman? If the husband should not have a say in whether or not a woman kills their child (even though there are certainly times when a husband puts pressure on his wife to slaughter their child via abortion), why does a husband have a say in whether or not a woman dies a slow and excruciating death?

Stereotypes About Pro-Lifers

Many movements have a fringe minority who try to use violence to get the message across. Some among this minority do not care about the message as much but use the movement as an excuse to commit violent acts.

We would not assume that those who marched for civil rights for African Americans in the 1960s were ALL violent just because a small fringe element committed violent acts. We would not assume that those opposed to the Iraq War were all violent.

It is fascinating that some feel pro-life people are automatically "violent." If one is truly pro-life, they canNOT condone violence of any form. This includes the violence done by so-called "pro-lifers" AND the violence done to approximately 4,000 babies daily via abortion. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, rebukes St. Peter for violence when Jesus was captured (see Matthew, Chapter 26, verses 51-52). That admonition holds true for ALL of us. Violence is a mortal sin. One canNOT be truly pro-life and condone violence against anyone. Period.

Many religious and/or pro-life groups/web pages have warnings/commentary about violence. See the following. (Links below are for information only. They do not imply consent of any content by this author.)

Factually inaccurate implications about those who participate in pro-life activities unfortunately confuse those who do not have firsthand knowledge about the movement. It does no good for the pro-life movement if the violence inflicted on human babies is met with violence by pro-lifers. Those who are in any way connected to the movement to keep abortion legal need to live a LONG life in order to have sufficient opportunity for repentence and penance. Let's make it clear that we are all sinners. Those who are pro-life are not without sin.

Considering the list above, it is clear that many pro-life groups make it well known that they are opposed to violence. It must be assumed that those who make implications about pro-lifers being "violent" have mysteriously missed ALL of these sites (including a major national site such as the American Life League). Perhaps better research techniques are in order?

Fetus Fetus Fetus

As a pro-lifer, I was intrigued when I heard about the National Geographic Channel's "In the Womb" on March 6th. I had to watch this show. While the visuals were interesting and the commentary was interesting, I was overall annoyed.

First, there was the commercial for a fertility-related product. The impure nature of this commercial was absolutely unnecessary. This leads me to think about #2354 as well #2522-3 in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Throughout the entire program, it seems as though the word "fetus" came up every four or five words. It might be one thing if "fetus" was not a word used by some who favor legalized abortion in order to deny humanity of the baby. If I recall correctly, when showing pictures of what looked like a fully formed baby almost ready for birth the baby was referred to as a "fetus." The ironic thing is that the baby was referred to with the pronouns "her" or "she" when not being called "the fetus." In other cases where I see the word "fetus" thrown around, the pronoun is usually "it" is almost always used.

Thumbs down.
